HGV Driver Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HGV Driver Trainer to join our Severnside Depot (GL10 2DG) within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. You will deliver driver assessments, inductions and ongoing development training, focusing on safety, CPC compliance and fuel‑efficient driving techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment driver assessments for permanent and agency drivers.
• Deliver new‑driver induction and ongoing development training, including vehicle and trailer familiarisation.
• Support CPC periodic training and post‑incident remedial sessions.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure GDPR adherence.
• Collaborate with transport and compliance teams to promote safety culture and meet KPIs.
• Assist with safety roadshows, driver forums and national training events.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• HGV Class 1 licence (LGV Cat C+E) with a current CPC and digital driving card.
• No more than six minor points on the licence (no CDs, DDs, DRs or INs).

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time contract with a shift pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off (Tuesday‑Saturday, 10 am‑8 pm, flexible).
• Hourly rate of £17.30 plus a £40 per week Driver Trainer supplement.
