About the role
Join a dedicated team in Chelmsford to collect residential waste and recycling for disposal or processing. This temporary, full‑time position offers a fast‑paced environment where reliability and professionalism are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Collect waste and recycling from homes and businesses across Chelmsford.
- Load bags, wheelie bins, recycling bins and boxes onto the lorry using a lifting mechanism.
- Tip waste from bins into the vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Report any collection issues to supervisors promptly.
- Assist waste collection operatives as needed.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to handle manual loading tasks.
- Team‑oriented with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Flexible to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules.
- Available to work 6:30‑7:00 am start, Tuesday‑Friday, 9.25‑hour days.
Required skills
- HGV driving capability (CPC card preferred).
