HGV Technician – Avonmouth (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for an HGV Technician to join our Avonmouth workshop on a permanent full‑time basis. You will work the night shift from 22:00 to 06:30, Monday to Friday, maintaining and repairing Scania’s heavy commercial vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, routine maintenance and fault repairs on HGVs and related vehicle types.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using workshop tools and equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Record work performed and parts used in the company’s maintenance system.
• Participate in overtime and on‑call duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant or military vehicle maintenance.
• Willingness to work night shifts and occasional overtime.
• Commitment to continuous learning through in‑house training and the National Learning Academy.
