HGV Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy workshop in Nantwich. The role offers stable, full‑time hours, competitive pay and a supportive team environment where you can apply your diagnostic and mechanical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance on HGV vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
• Use diagnostic equipment and specialist tools to pinpoint problems.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes and other components.
• Order parts and maintain accurate service records.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and keep the workshop clean and organised.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or PSV Technician.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good knowledge of HGV systems and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Time‑served technicians will also be considered.

Required skills

• Operation of diagnostic equipment.
• Mechanical repair of engines, transmissions and brakes.
• Electrical fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of HGV systems.

What we offer

• £30.00 per hour (weekly PAYE).
• Monday‑Friday schedule, 7 am start.
