HGV Technician / Mechanic – Full-time role

About the role
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join a well‑established fleet operation in Bampton, Oxfordshire. The role involves maintaining a large HGV fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, road‑worthy and compliant with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair HGV vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Conduct six‑weekly inspections and brake testing.
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs and complete PMI paperwork.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and minimise vehicle downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of HGV mechanics and diagnostics.
- Full UK driving licence (Class 2 desirable but not essential).
- Own basic hand tools and a proactive, reliable work approach.
