HGV Technician – On‑site Workshop

About the role

Calor Gas Limited is seeking an HGV Technician to join its on‑site workshop in Stanford‑le‑Hope. You will play a critical part in keeping the fleet safe, reliable and ready for the peak winter season and year‑round operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on HGVs, including LPG and IRTEC systems.
• Support drivers by ensuring vehicles are road‑worthy and compliant with safety standards.
• Participate in shift patterns (day, back, overtime) and an on‑call rota.
• Document work performed and contribute to fleet safety reporting.

Required profile

• Valid HGV licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience in heavy‑goods‑vehicle maintenance or a related technical field.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns and occasional on‑call weeks.

Required skills

• LPG systems maintenance
• IRTEC certification or training
• General HGV maintenance and repair

What we offer

• Base salary £50,589 – £62,680 per year (OTE includes overtime, bonus and sign‑on).
• £5,000 sign‑on bonus after three months.
