HGV Technician – Split Shift – Up to £48k

About the role

We are seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to join a family‑run workshop in Warrington. The role operates on a split‑shift pattern (early and back) and offers a competitive salary up to £48,000 per annum plus overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HGV tractor and trailer units.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, 6‑ or 8‑weekly inspections, and correct running defects.
• Maintain accurate service records and meet agreed turnaround times.

Required profile

• Fully qualified HGV fitter/mechanic (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to work split shifts and occasional Saturday mornings.

Required skills

• City & Guilds HGV qualification.
• NVQ HGV qualification.
• IRTEC certification (advantageous).
• Full clean driving licence.
