HGV Technician – Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

As an HGV Technician you will keep our fleet of lorries, vans, forklifts and plant machinery running smoothly. You will work across multiple sites, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing and parts used.
• Provide occasional support with customer vehicle repairs and assist other teams when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Ideally hold an HGV licence (Class 1 preferred, Class 2 acceptable).
• Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Required skills

• HGV licence (Class 1 or Class 2).
• Mechanical fault diagnosis.
• Electrical fault diagnosis.
• Hydraulic system maintenance.
