About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Brentwood from September. The role involves providing classroom support, covering lessons and contributing to the overall learning experience of pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver classroom support and cover lessons as required.
- Lead learning activities and manage classroom behaviour.
- Provide targeted interventions and support whole‑class teaching.
- Assist with the implementation of the National Curriculum.
- Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding records and practices.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a UK school.
- HLTA status or relevant qualifications (desirable).
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Current safeguarding training (issued within the last year, desirable).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional child‑related references.
