About the role
Veritas Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a welcoming primary school in Morecambe. The position is one day per week (every Friday), term‑time only, starting September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver PPA cover for EYFS classes on the assigned day.
- Lead engaging learning activities and manage whole‑class groups.
- Create a fun, supportive and nurturing environment for young children.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider school team.
Required profile
- Hold HLTA status or possess equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Confidence in leading learning activities and managing whole‑class groups.
- Ability to contribute positively to a team‑oriented school setting.
Required skills
