About the role
We are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Lewisham on a full‑time basis. The role offers a supportive environment where staff are valued and encouraged to develop professionally.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Support teachers in planning, preparing and assessing learning.
- Lead lessons in the teacher’s absence when required.
- Provide targeted support to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Required profile
- Previous experience working as an HLTA in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and classroom practice.
- Confidence leading whole‑class learning and supporting pupils of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A degree (preferred).
