About the role
Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a Year 6 class in a primary school in the M45 area of Bury. The full‑time, long‑term position starts as soon as possible and may lead to a permanent contract.
Key responsibilities
- Support the class teacher and deliver lessons when the teacher is absent.
- Assist with classroom routines, planning and assessment of pupil progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, senior leaders and external professionals.
- Help deliver a structured curriculum in preparation for SATs.
Required profile
- Recent experience supporting upper Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
- Proactive, professional and committed with strong communication and behaviour management.
- Valid Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply) and two references covering the last two years.
- Right to work in the UK and availability for full‑time, long‑term work.
Required skills
- Experience delivering lessons in the teacher’s absence.
- Ability to assess pupil progress and support planning.
