About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bamber Bridge from September 2026. The school is OFSTED rated ‘good’ and benefits from excellent transport links, offering a supportive environment for professional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver whole‑class lessons when the class teacher is absent.
- Support pupils across all primary year groups, providing 1:1 assistance as needed.
- Lead targeted intervention groups to raise attainment.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and senior leaders to maximise pupil potential.
- Adapt flexibly to the evolving needs of the school.
Required profile
- Hold HLTA status or have substantial experience at HLTA level in a primary setting.
- Confidence in leading whole‑class teaching sessions.
- Experience supporting a range of ages and abilities.
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for children’s learning and development.
