About the role
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Orpington from September. The role covers both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils' learning, delivering planned lessons in the teacher's absence, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Deliver lessons and lead whole‑class learning when required.
- Assist the teacher with planning and preparing resources.
- Help create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Support behaviour management and promote good conduct.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar primary‑school role.
- Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
- Confidence delivering lessons and leading whole‑class learning.
- Excellent communication and behaviour‑management skills.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting children and staff.
