Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Warrington)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant or current HLTA to support primary schools across Warrington. The role involves delivering interventions, providing classroom cover and supporting pupils of varying abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover when teachers are unavailable
• Support pupils across different year groups and abilities
• Deliver small‑group and individual interventions
• Work alongside teachers to support learning and pupil progress
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and activities
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Use initiative to support the wider needs of the school

Required profile

• Experienced Teaching Assistant or current HLTA
• Confident, organised and able to adapt quickly to different classroom situations
• Comfortable working independently and as a strong team player
• Previous experience delivering interventions, covering classes or supporting pupils across year groups
