About the role

Join a dynamic primary school in Wembley as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on the Aspiring Teacher Pathway. This position is designed for individuals who want to develop classroom expertise and progress towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while working full‑time in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead lessons and manage the class in the teacher’s absence.
• Deliver targeted small‑group and intervention teaching.
• Support planning, preparation and assessment activities.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to work towards teacher training.

Required profile

• Experienced HLTA or graduate teaching assistant ready for the next step.
• Confidence in leading small groups and whole‑class sessions.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• A clear ambition to complete teacher training and achieve QTS.
