Hire Controller – Edinburgh

About the role

The Hire Controller is a frontline member of Speedy’s operations team, based at the Edinburgh depot. You will manage the end‑to‑end hire process, ensuring customers receive the right equipment on time and enjoy a seamless service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Take customer orders, coordinate delivery and collection of hire equipment.
• Liaise with stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory and customer interactions.
• Support the depot’s ESG strategy by promoting sustainable practices.
• Provide regular updates to sales and service teams on order status.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Valid driving licence.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales/operational role.
