Hire Controller – National Hire Desk

About the role

Join the Hire Desk team in Liverpool as a Hire Controller, acting as the central liaison between national customers, local branches and delivery drivers. You will ensure equipment and tool hire orders are processed smoothly from quotation to return, supporting construction projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and emails from customers to take hire orders.
• Provide quotes, arrange deliveries, collections and returns.
• Coordinate with branch staff, drivers and suppliers to ensure timely availability of tools.
• Resolve delivery or equipment issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Contact existing and prospective customers to promote hire services.
• Contribute to sales targets by recommending appropriate products and pricing.

Required profile

• Experience handling customer enquiries by phone or email in a busy environment.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Clear, friendly and professional communication style.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
