Hire Desk Coordinator – Customer Service & Logistics

About the role

Our client, a family‑run equipment hire specialist in Royal Wootton Bassett, is expanding its team. The Hire Desk Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for customers, guiding them from initial enquiry through to the return of equipment. The role offers full training and a clear path for career progression within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and log incoming hire enquiries via phone and email.
• Prepare accurate quotations and process hire orders.
• Coordinate deliveries, collections and transport logistics.
• Liaise with customers, drivers and workshop staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify upselling opportunities and maximise hire revenue.
• Maintain hire contracts and customer records with precision.
• Build and sustain long‑term customer relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an administrative or customer‑facing role.
• Excellent communication and service orientation.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and teamwork mindset.

Required skills

• Experience using hire management software.
