Hire & Sales Controller

About the role

Selwood Limited, the UK’s leading pump rental solutions provider, is seeking a Hire / Sales Controller for its Bristol branch. The role sits at the heart of the pump‑hire business, interacting daily with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and emails, taking ownership of enquiries and responding promptly.
• Prioritise workload to meet day‑to‑day customer requirements.
• Prepare and process hire and sales quotations, contracts, purchase orders and invoices.
• Accurately input contracts, transport documentation and related paperwork into the relevant systems.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure equipment, transport and workforce are arranged for depot and customer needs.

Required profile

• Confident self‑starter with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and build solid customer relationships.
• Good understanding of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
