History Teacher (KS3) – Part‑time Autumn Term

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a History Teacher for a 0.4 FTE position at an independent school in Chester. The role runs from the first week of September 2026 until Christmas 2026, covering KS3 History and a couple of PSHE lessons each Thursday and Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver KS3 History lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Teach PSHE sessions on Thursdays and Fridays.
• Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to pupils and parents.
• Prepare teaching resources and maintain classroom standards.
• Collaborate with senior staff to support the school’s academic goals.

Required profile

• Qualified History specialist able to start in September 2026.
• Willingness to commit to the Autumn term (September–December).
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• CV covering at least ten years of education or employment experience.
• Fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to undergo DBS processing (cost reimbursed).
