About the role
We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils at a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London. The successful candidate will join a supportive humanities team and work closely with senior leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver History lessons for KS3 and KS4 classes.
- Collaborate with the humanities department to ensure curriculum consistency.
- Contribute to the development of assessment materials and student progress tracking.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Uphold the school’s behaviour policies and promote a positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified History teacher with UK teaching experience.
- Passion for history and a commitment to student achievement.
- Ability to provide current referees for the placement.
- Willingness to work full‑time on a temporary or permanent contract.
