History Teacher – Secondary School Supply Role (Blackburn)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to deliver secondary‑school lessons on a supply basis in Blackburn. The position is full‑time for an initial three‑month period, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Follow existing schemes of work and ensure continuity for students.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Mark and assess student work as required.
• Support pupils in reaching their full potential.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching History in a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to a new environment.
• Available for a minimum three‑month commitment.
