HLTA / ECT Reception Class Teacher (Wigan)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated HLTA, Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Wigan on a full‑time, temporary basis starting in September. The position is based in the Reception/EYFS setting and offers a supportive environment with strong staffing ratios and an experienced team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Assist with classroom activities, outdoor learning and creative projects.
• Help maintain high standards of pupil behaviour and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Contribute to the nurturing atmosphere that values each child’s strengths.

Required profile

• Reception or EYFS experience preferred.
• Passionate about early years education.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and nurturing in approach.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Available to start in September.
