Home Care Assistant – Flexible Full‑time/Part‑time

About the role

As a Home Care Assistant you will support service users across St Helens and surrounding areas, helping them stay independent and engaged in their communities. You will work locally, with mileage covered on top of your hourly rate, and you will not be required to drive for the role.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Prepare nutritious meals and support medication management.
• Encourage participation in community activities and social engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate any concerns to the care team.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and committed individuals, with or without prior care experience.
• Flexible availability for full‑time or part‑time shifts.
• Dedication to delivering person‑centred, high‑quality care.

Required skills

• Ability to follow care plans and support medication routines.
• Basic cooking and meal‑preparation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with service users.
