Home Manager – Care Home Leadership

About the role

The Home Manager leads a Barchester care home, ensuring person‑centred care for elderly and vulnerable residents. You will combine strategic leadership with day‑to‑day operational oversight to maintain the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and develop a motivated team.
• Ensure compliance with CQC, safeguarding and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive occupancy, marketing and financial performance of the home.
• Oversee quality assurance, care planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling and performance appraisal.
• Maintain strong relationships with residents, families and external partners.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a care home or similar setting.
• Passion for person‑centred care and a track record of improving service quality.
• Excellent organisational and management abilities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, CQC and compliance guidelines.
• Experience in marketing, occupancy management and financial oversight.
