About the role

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead one of its care homes in St. Leonards. You will be the face of person‑centred care, ensuring high‑quality services for elderly and vulnerable residents while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and motivate teams to deliver outstanding personalised care.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and occupancy targets.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding policies and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement quality‑based initiatives to achieve excellent care ratings.
• Oversee marketing and community outreach to maintain high occupancy levels.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a care home or similar setting.
• Passion for person‑centred care and a track record of team development.
• Strong organisational and management abilities.
• Understanding of safeguarding, CQC and compliance guidelines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CQC regulations.
• Experience with safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to analyse quality metrics and drive improvements.
