About the role
As a Home Visits Optical Assistant you will bring Specsavers' eye‑care services directly to patients who cannot attend a store. Working across South West London and Greater London, you will provide testing, dispensing and advice in the comfort of the client’s home.
Key responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes within the SW, KT or TW postcode areas and set up a mobile testing environment.
- Conduct eye examinations, measure visual acuity and assess prescription needs.
- Dispense spectacles and contact lenses at all levels, ensuring accurate fitting.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical protocols.
- Provide friendly, professional service that enhances patient confidence and satisfaction.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence and own car.
- Based in or willing to work from the SW, KT or TW postcode areas.
- Current or recent optical experience (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
- Ability to dispense spectacles and lenses confidently.

What we offer
- Full‑time or part‑time contracts (minimum 3 days per week for part‑time).
- Salary up to £28,000 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time.
- Car allowance of £3,240 per annum (pro‑rated).
- Bonus scheme, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) pro‑rated, birthday day off.
