Home Visits Optical Assistant

About the role

As a Home Visits Optical Assistant you will bring Specsavers' eye‑care services directly to patients who cannot attend a store. Working across South West London and Greater London, you will provide testing, dispensing and advice in the comfort of the client’s home.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes within the SW, KT or TW postcode areas and set up a mobile testing environment.
• Conduct eye examinations, measure visual acuity and assess prescription needs.
• Dispense spectacles and contact lenses at all levels, ensuring accurate fitting.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical protocols.
• Provide friendly, professional service that enhances patient confidence and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and own car.
• Based in or willing to work from the SW, KT or TW postcode areas.
• Current or recent optical experience (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
• Ability to dispense spectacles and lenses confidently.

What we offer

• Full‑time or part‑time contracts (minimum 3 days per week for part‑time).
• Salary up to £28,000 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time.
