Horticulture & Landscaping Trainer – Full Training into Teaching

About the role

This is a site‑based position at a leading land‑based college, offering a pathway from industry professional to qualified lecturer in horticulture and landscaping. Full teacher training and qualifications are provided, enabling you to transition into education while applying your practical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and practical horticulture lessons.
• Support learners through tutorials, target setting and progression planning.
• Mark assessments and track student progress using digital systems.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, quality assurance processes and employer engagement.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in horticulture or a related greenspace subject.
• Strong industry experience in horticulture, groundskeeping or landscaping.
• Motivation to move into teaching and inspire learners.
• Based within a commutable distance of Preston.

Required skills

• Hands‑on horticulture and landscaping expertise.
• Ability to deliver both practical and theoretical training.
• Familiarity with digital assessment and tracking tools.
