Hotel Financial Controller

About the role

The Hotel Financial Controller will act as the strategic finance leader for the property, shaping and executing financial strategies that support the brand’s service objectives. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures financial performance aligns with both guest expectations and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop annual budgets, forecast sales versus expenses and monitor actual performance against targets.
• Identify profit‑enhancing opportunities by estimating costs, benefits and new business prospects.
• Maintain robust accounting and operational controls to protect assets and improve profitability.
• Lead and motivate the accounting team, assigning responsibilities and ensuring accountability.
• Prepare timely financial reports, profit and loss statements and support audit processes.
• Collaborate with property managers to align finance activities with overall property strategy.
