Housekeeper & Laundry Assistant – Care Home

About the role

Join Friends of the Elderly at Friends Place, Calcot, as a Housekeeper and Laundry Assistant. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the care home.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general domestic duties such as vacuuming, polishing tables, wiping chairs and surfaces, and emptying bins.
• Run the on‑site laundry service, handling residents’ personal laundry and household linens.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control in all communal areas.
• Support the care team by ensuring a tidy and comfortable environment for residents.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, resilient and a team player willing to go the extra mile.
• Good standard of English and numeracy skills.
• Comfortable using digital tools for online training and record‑keeping.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety is beneficial but not essential.
• No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
