Housekeeper – Pub & Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, detail‑oriented Housekeeper to join our team at The Ambleside Inn, a pub with rooms in the Lake District. You will help maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas, ensuring every visitor enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to the brand’s high standards.
• Maintain public areas, ensuring they are tidy and welcoming.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the relevant team.
• Follow health and safety guidelines while performing duties.
• Manage stock of linen, towels and room supplies efficiently.

Required profile

• Friendly and reliable with a passion for cleanliness.
• Calm under pressure and able to exceed guest expectations.
• Team‑player who contributes to a positive work environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to housekeeping.
• Experience using standard cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to manage linen and supply inventories.
