Housekeeping Assistant – 16 hrs/week, Care Home

About the role

As a Housekeeping Assistant in a Barchester care home you will help create a warm, safe and tidy environment for residents, visitors and staff. Working 16 hours per week, including rotating weekends, you will play a key part in maintaining the home’s cleanliness and overall comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high standards.
• Maintain floors, surfaces and furnishings using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
• Manage linen, waste and recycling collection and disposal.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards or supply needs promptly.
• Support infection‑control procedures and follow health‑and‑safety guidelines.
