Housekeeping Assistant – Cambridge Rehab Unit

About the role
The Housekeeping Assistant supports the ward team at the Cambridge Rehab Unit, Brookfields Hospital, ensuring a clean, tidy and safe environment for patients recovering from injury or illness. The role also helps meet patients' eating and drinking needs.
Key responsibilities
- Order patient diets according to individual care plans.
- Prepare vacant beds for new arrivals, ensuring all equipment is ready.
- Clean and tidy patients' lockers and tables.
- Assist in the removal of used clinical waste bags in line with infection‑control policies.
Required profile
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Willingness to follow NHS infection‑control procedures.
