Housekeeping Assistant – Care Home

About the role

Join the dedicated team at Cottenham Court Care Home and help create a clean, comfortable environment for our residents. As a Housekeeping Assistant you will play a vital part in maintaining the high standards of hygiene and comfort that our residents expect.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy resident bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, including vacuuming, mopping and polishing surfaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness of shared facilities such as the activities room, conservatory and garden pathways.
• Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure any repairs or hazards are addressed promptly.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

Required profile

• Strong pride in delivering a high standard of cleanliness.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team‑player who can collaborate effectively with other staff.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to a 30‑hour weekly schedule.

Required skills

• Permanent, full‑time position (30 hours per week, 8 am‑2 pm, including alternate weekends).
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.30‑£14.30, dependent on experience.
