Housekeeping Assistant – Hospice (Full/Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for dedicated Housekeeping Assistants to join our hospice team in Liverpool. In this role you will ensure the environment remains clean, safe and welcoming for patients, families and staff, supporting our mission to provide compassionate end‑of‑life care.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospice premises.
- Manage laundry services, including sorting, washing and distribution of linen.
- Support infection control procedures and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with covering team absences and flexible shift coverage as needed.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a housekeeping role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing needs.
- Empathy for the hospice ethos and commitment to compassionate care.
Required skills
- Knowledge of CoSHH health and safety standards.
