Housekeeping Assistant

About the role
The Housekeeping Assistant will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents at Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton. This hands‑on role supports both cleaning and laundry services, contributing directly to the comfort and dignity of our residents.
Key responsibilities
- Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing.
- Follow infection‑control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team and support alternate weekend shifts.
Required profile
- Positive and reliable approach.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial; previous experience welcomed but not essential.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £12.71.
- Contract of 37.5 hours per week.
- Paid DBS check, pension scheme and uniform.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
