Housekeeping Assistant – Part‑time (Didcot)

About the role

Join a newly‑built care home in Didcot as a Housekeeping Assistant, working part‑time to keep the environment clean, safe and welcoming for 70 residents. You will also support laundry services, helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, labeling and returning clothing.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team and report any issues promptly.
• Cover alternate weekends as required.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection‑control is beneficial.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience welcomed but not essential.

• No specific technical skills required.
