Housing Litigation Paralegal (Nationwide)

About the role

The Housing Litigation Paralegal will join Duncan Lewis Solicitors' nationally recognised Housing Department. Reporting directly to the Department Director, you will support both public‑funded (legal aid) and private housing matters across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with a wide range of housing cases, including disrepair, eviction, homelessness, succession and debt issues.
• Prepare and manage case files, draft pleadings, witness statements and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence for possession proceedings and judicial review matters.
• Liaise with clients, landlords, tenants and external agencies, providing clear and compassionate client care.
• Attend hearings at all court levels, including the High Court, and support solicitors during oral arguments.
• Maintain accurate records in the firm’s case‑management system and ensure compliance with data‑security standards.

Required profile

• Qualified paralegal or law graduate with a strong interest in housing law.
• Professional, proactive attitude with excellent client‑care skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive client situations with empathy and discretion.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
