Housing Management Worker (Floating)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports people with complex needs to sustain their tenancies, develop independence and achieve personal goals. You will work from our Middlesbrough office, managing a caseload of clients and linking them to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and assess clients to determine housing needs and develop personalised support plans.
• Deliver regular face‑to‑face visits, providing advice, life‑skills training and emotional support.
• Respond to client enquiries by phone or drop‑in, offering timely assistance.
• Coordinate referrals, sign‑post services and represent the charity at move‑on accommodation meetings.
• Ensure smooth transitions to supported or alternative accommodation.
• Maintain accurate records, statistics and communication with project staff and evaluators.
• Participate in team and case‑management meetings and contribute to policy reviews.
• Apply safeguarding and emergency procedures to protect client wellbeing.

Required profile

• Compassionate, proactive professional with experience supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged people.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with external partners and internal teams.
