Housing Needs Team Manager – North London

About the role

We are seeking a Housing Needs Team Manager to lead our North London team, delivering high‑quality case management and customer service in line with housing legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Housing Needs team, ensuring excellent customer service and high‑quality case management.
• Oversee homelessness prevention, relief and assessment activities in line with current housing legislation and best practice.
• Monitor team performance, ensuring targets, service standards and statutory responsibilities are met.
• Manage complex housing cases, complaints and escalations.
• Collaborate with external partners, landlords, support providers and voluntary organisations to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
• Support delivery of services related to the Renters Rights Act and associated enforcement responsibilities.
• Develop team capability through coaching, supervision and performance management.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of housing services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading housing or social services teams.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, homelessness prevention and the Renters Rights Act.
• Ability to manage complex cases, complaints and escalations.
• Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills with external partners and voluntary organisations.
