Housing Officer – Aberdeen

About the role

Hillcrest Homes is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join its Aberdeen Housing Team. You will manage a portfolio of around 800 properties across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, delivering a comprehensive housing management service to tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate properties and manage tenancy agreements.
• Handle anti‑social behaviour issues and enforce tenancy standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day tenancy management and support for residents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive performance enhancements.

Required profile

• Qualified to Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 4 Certificate in Housing (SCQF Level 7).
• Strong knowledge of statutory and voluntary housing sectors and current legislation.
• Proven planning and organisational abilities, able to work independently and meet targets.
• Experience of initiating change and improving service performance.

Required skills

• Understanding of housing legislation and policy.
• Tenancy management and allocation expertise.
• Anti‑social behaviour handling.
