Housing Officer – East Anglia

About the role

Stonewater is expanding its local presence across East Anglia and is looking for a proactive Housing Officer to become a trusted face in the community. You will manage tenancies, support residents and work closely with partners to help people sustain their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a defined patch covering Cambridge, East Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, Norwich, South Cambridgeshire and West Suffolk.
• Manage the full tenancy lifecycle from sign‑up to end of tenancy, including changes, mutual exchanges and breach investigations.
• Support lettings and voids activity to minimise rent loss and turnaround times.
• Carry out estate inspections, address neighbourhood and environmental issues, and manage low‑level anti‑social behaviour and neighbour disputes.
• Identify and respond to vulnerability, safeguarding, hoarding and non‑access cases.
• Complete person‑centred fire risk assessments and monitor health and safety matters.
• Investigate complaints, learn from outcomes and continuously improve services.
• Work in partnership with local authorities and external agencies to deliver customer‑focused support.

Required profile

• Experience in housing management or a similar customer‑facing role within social housing.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding, anti‑social behaviour and welfare reform.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to remain calm under pressure.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to respectful, personalised, trauma‑informed service.

• Permanent full‑time contract (37.5 hours per week).
• Salary of £36,000 per annum plus a car allowance of £3,715 per annum.
