Housing Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Housing Officer to join our team in Thatcham. Working from our Greenham office one day a week and remotely the rest of the time, you will be the visible link between residents, colleagues and partner agencies, delivering safe and compliant tenancy services across the local area.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tenancy, leasehold and neighbourhood management services to assigned properties.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling enquiries and resolving issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, community groups and partner agencies.
• Use data insights to improve service delivery and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Support neighbourhood improvement initiatives and shape services based on customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure responsible data use.
• Promote SNG’s values of collaboration, safety and inclusion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tenancy, lease or neighbourhood management.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities, with a track record of influencing outcomes.
• Collaborative approach working across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of landlord services and relevant legislation.
• Customer‑first mindset with a history of achieving positive results.
• Full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
