Housing Officer – Part Time

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a respected social housing provider in Glasgow on a part‑time basis, covering a 6‑12 month maternity leave. This varied and rewarding role involves delivering high‑quality housing management services to tenants and communities, ensuring excellent customer service and sustainable tenancies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive housing management service to tenants and customers.
• Manage tenancy‑related matters including allocations, voids and new lets.
• Investigate and resolve anti‑social behaviour cases.
• Monitor rent accounts and support the achievement of arrears targets.
• Carry out regular estate inspections and identify environmental improvements.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support residents.
• Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify areas for service improvement and contribute to positive outcomes for tenants.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a housing management role.
• Knowledge of Scottish housing legislation and tenancy management practices.
• Experience delivering high‑quality tenancy and customer‑focused services.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience within housing or a related discipline.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport.
