Housing Services Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Housing Services Manager to lead older‑people housing services across the Lancashire region for an established housing association. This temporary position, starting mid‑September, offers the possibility of becoming permanent and involves regular travel between schemes such as Ormskirk, Preston and Blackpool.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee void management, allocations, tenancy and leasehold administration to meet performance targets.
• Act as allocations lead, collaborating with care teams, partners and local authorities to maximise income and ensure smooth lettings.
• Manage regional budgets, ensure value for money and maintain compliance with health, safety and safeguarding standards.
• Lead, coach and schedule the housing team, ensuring staffing levels meet operational demands.
• Facilitate resident engagement, scheme meetings and resident groups, responding to feedback in line with customer values.
• Represent the region in stakeholder meetings, handle councillor queries and complaints, and support Service Managers with new initiatives.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours rota and deputise for senior staff when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in housing management, including voids, allocations, tenancy and leasehold services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and maintain high service standards.
• Understanding of older‑people services is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own diary.
• Full UK driving licence, access to a personal vehicle and business insurance.
• Basic DBS clearance.
