Housing Support Officer

About the role

The Housing Support Officer will deliver person‑centred housing assistance to residents in Preston and Bamber Bridge, helping them sustain tenancies and progress towards independence. You will work closely with vulnerable adults, providing practical support and linking them with essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored tenancy and housing support to residents.
• Assist residents with benefits applications, budgeting and tenancy sustainment.
• Conduct risk assessments, health and safety checks, and regular property inspections.
• Collaborate with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams to meet residents’ needs.
• Manage a caseload and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records.

Required profile

• Experience in supported housing or a comparable support setting.
• Proven ability to support vulnerable adults with tenancy sustainment.
• Experience working with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated capability in caseload management and record‑keeping.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary between £26,000 and £28,000 per annum, negotiable for exceptional candidates.
• Permanent contract, 36 hours per week with the option to work from home on Fridays.
