Housing Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team in Fleetwood, North West England. You will deliver person‑centred support to residents living in our 21 self‑contained apartments, helping them maintain tenancies and progress towards independent living.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents to improve mental health, emotional wellbeing and reduce substance‑misuse risks.
• Assist tenants in sustaining tenancies, budgeting, money management and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Facilitate engagement with landlords, accommodation providers and sign‑post to external services.
• Deliver pre‑tenancy training, work‑readiness activities such as CV writing, interview preparation and Job Club sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to implement personalised support and risk‑management plans.

Required profile

• Compassionate and motivated individual with a genuine desire to help people with complex needs.
• Ability to work in a recovery‑focused, person‑centred environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges, substance misuse, offending histories or homelessness.
• Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, budgeting and independent living skills.
