Housing Support Worker (Temp-to-Perm) – Hastings

About the role

We are seeking a Housing Support Worker to join Nacro’s team in Hastings on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering person‑centred support to residents, helping them achieve their housing and welfare goals.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain individual support and safety plans for residents.
• Meet with residents to discuss needs, set objectives and provide guidance on housing benefits and rent payments.
• Collaborate with Community Probation Practitioners and court staff to coordinate support.
• Inspect allocated properties, report repairs, and ensure cleanliness and standards are met.
• Manage a portfolio of properties while working as part of a regional team.

Required profile

• Experience in social housing or a similar housing officer role.
• Knowledge of support planning, welfare benefits and Universal Credit.
• Female candidates only, as locations are female‑only.
• Enhanced Adult DBS and HMPPS Barring checks (or existing DBS on the update service).
• Own vehicle with business insurance for property visits.
