HR Advisor – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an HR Advisor for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract at our large manufacturing site in Bedlington. Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide proactive HR support across the employee lifecycle in a values‑led, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality employee‑relations advice and coaching to managers, managing employment risks.
• Support formal investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance processes.
• Interpret and advise on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
• Assist with recruitment, selection and workforce planning activities.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and monthly KPI data.
• Work alongside Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee information.
• Support organisational change projects, including TUPE and business transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and service delivery.
• Support employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and internal communication initiatives.
• Manage the HR inbox, providing responsive advice and administrative support to managers and employees.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as an HR Advisor in a fast‑paced environment.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it).
• Strong knowledge of employee‑relations, recruitment, HR operations and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
